First make every attempt to rehome your animal yourself via social media and websites (check our blog for more information) then contact us (843) 250-1413 with photos of the pet, why you are surrendering, pets age, pets vetting status and any information about the pet. You will be put on the waiting list and contacted when a kennel is open.
No, we do not have a vet on staff and cannot treat people's personal animals. You can find a post in our blog with resources for low-cost vetting and surgery options.
To adopt a pet from Marion County Animal Shelter, you must fill out an application, then come to the shelter during open hours and view our adoptable pets, if pet is ready to go they can leave THAT DAY! Adoption fees are $100 adult dog and $150 Puppy (under 6 months) All pets are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, dewormed, started on nexgard+, current on vaccines. Cats are $10 and kittens (under 6 months) are $35. All cats are spayed or neutered, current on vaccines, given revolution flea treatment and dewormed
